Toyo Glass Machinery maintains established management principle and makes an effort aiming at that achievement. We aim at the happiness of mankind on our customer and consumers. We carry out fair and transparent business activities not only provide products but satisfaction to our customer's needs.

Toyo Glass Machinery aims at contribution to the whole society through supplying our equipments to our customers and users. We will comply with ethic and laws to meet our social responsibilities. We carry out fair and transparent business activities based on followings, Proactive efforts for preservation of the environment, Attitude against antisocial forces, Fair and proper manner with customers, suppliers and the government, Appropriate management and disclosure of information, Distinction between public and private matters ,Respect for human rights and individual personalities.

Toyo Glass Machinery will always act correctly as a company with conscience. However, in performing the daily business of a company, there are cases in which it is difficult to identify what is correct and what is not correct. In such an event, it is always necessary to return our thoughts to the original point, reconsider the matter based on social morals and ethic as well as to act under a broad viewpoint with an appropriate judgment standard for everyone. Therefore, we have established the Corporate Code of Conduct for the entire company. We will structure the compliance system for the Toyo Glass Group and Toyo Seikan Group and implement it without fail.

Corporate Code of Conduct

Corporate Code of Conduct

This Standard stipulates fundamental items to be observed in executing daily business, based on the recognition that it is indispensable for healthy development of the company to have everyone--including directors, auditors, operating officers, senior advisers, employees and those contracted employees (hereinafter referred to as "we" including temporary staff)--be deeply aware of the social responsibilities of Toyo Glass Machinery, thoroughly observe the corporate ethics, relevant laws and company regulations and "always take right actions" in all business activities.


Fandamental Attitudes in the Corporate Code of Conduct

The following five items are our fundamental attitudes in the Corporate Code of Conduct to "always take correct actions". We will set up the action policy and specific targets for the "Corporate Code of Conduct" based on those attitudes and execute our daily businesses.

  1. We will always maintain awareness as full-fledged members of society and act with high ethics and good social sense.
  2. We will always comply, not only with the relevant laws and company regulations, but with contracts and promises with the stakeholders, and endeavor to make all business activities agree with normal commercial practice and company ethics.
  3. We will respect each person's fundamental human rights and personality in all aspects of business activities and endeavor for open communication.
  4. We will be sincere to all stakeholders, maintain fair, just and transparent relationship and conduct fair transactions.
  5. We will never act counter to the fair interest of Toyo Glass Machinery or impair the trust and honor of Toyo Glass Machinery.


Obligation and responsibility to comply with Corporate Code of Conduct

We bear the following obligations and responsibilities.

  1. We are responsible to comply with the provisions in the Corporate Code of Conduct and must execute them with sincerity. Directors and managers, in particular, are responsible to take initiative in leading the way.
  2. Directors and managers must instruct and supervise all employees in their responsible divisions and all employees under their management respectively to comply with this Corporate Code of Conduct.
  3. All our divisions have established an action manual as the "Compliance Guideline" based on this Corporate Code of Conduct, including relevant laws, company regulations and a business manual in order to assure execution of company activities in accordance with this Corporate Code of Conduct. The divisions make its members thoroughly aware of this Corporate Code of Conduct and review the content periodically.

The Corporate Code of Conduct lists the following eight items.

  1. Efforts as a professional on packaging containers equipment
  2. Respect for human rights and individual personalities
  3. Proactive efforts for preservation of the environment
  4. Sound relationship with customers, suppliers and the government
  5. Appropriate management and disclosure of information
  6. Attitude against antisocial forces
  7. Distinction between public and private matters
  8. Preparations at overseas business
